Sandwich and District Ladies Circle

Ladies' Circle is an organisation for women aged between 18 and 45 years.  We are not like the WI or any kind of secret society ! However, we are a group of women who enjoy varied social events and activities.  We also support our local community and raise money for national and local charities.  Ladies' circle is an international organisation and has over 3000 members in Great Britain and Northern Ireland alone.  Each 'circle' is unique in the fact that we as a group decide the activities, fundraising events and charities we support.

 Our 'Circle'  is based in Sandwich and is the only one in Kent.  Our members come from all walks of life but we all share the desire to meet new people, enjoy a wide variety of social activites and to contribute to worthwhile causes.

Over the past few years we have participated in the Sandwich Festival, organised (and modelled in) a charity fashion show, helped at Race for life, organised quiz nights and treasure hunts.  Held ladies' pamper evenings, meals out, clay pigeon shooting (we were better than the boys too!) to name but a few.  Our main event in our fundraising calender is our annual ball, which is always great fun !

We have raised thousands of pounds for the following causes:

• Delmelza House Childrens Hospice,                                    
• Look Good Feel Better - which helps women manage the visable side effects of cancer treatments.                                               
• Dogs Trust                                                                             
• Multiple Schlerosis                                                                         
• Cancer Research                                                                        
• The Alzheimers society

During 2009 We will be supporting REFUGE a charity which supports victims of domestic abuse.
