Charity Ball
This year's fundraising ball adopted a 'Fairytale' theme and it was great to see so many of our guests get into the spirit by attending in fancy dress. We had a lot of support from local businesses who generously donated raffle prizes and as a result we raised £585. A fantastic amount in the present economic climate ! The money will be donated to our chosen charity Refuge.

Quiz Night Success
On September 11th we had our Autumn Quiz Night at The Market Inn, Sandwich. The night was well attended. The winners were'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' who steamed ahead to win the evenings top prize ! Congratulations to them.
The evening raised £145 for our chosen charity Refuge.
Raising money for Look Good... Feel Better -
At our July meeting we were proud to present a cheque for £330 to Look Good... feel better, a charity which helps women manage the visible side effects of cancer treatments.
The money raised was profit from our charity fashion show which was held in Sandwich in March. We were so impressed by work the charity does to benefit women, we plan on organising another fashion show to help this cause in 2010... watch this space !

The Sandwich Festival
Once again we will participating in the Sandwich festival. On Friday 28th August we will assisting at St Marys Church for the 'WEST END MUSICAL CABARET '.. We will also be found on the Quay at Sandwich on Monday 31st where we will be organising a 'Lucky Dip' for the children, in aid of our chosen charity Refuge and the SANDWICH FESTIVAL.
